Contract Commercial Manager (01) – M/F

GI EXPERTISE, a Human Resources consulting firm specializing in recruitment, temporary staffing, and HR outsourcing, with a strong presence in West Africa, particularly in Guinea, Togo, and Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients.

As part of its business activities, GI EXPERTISE, in partnership with a telecommunications industry player, is recruiting a Contract Commercial Manager to strengthen its team.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal Process Management

• Initiate and monitor internal commercial processes.
• Support review and approval procedures during bidding processes, contract signing, and contract modifications.

2. Contract Drafting and Review

• Prepare, analyze, review, and provide redline comments on a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
• Commercial contracts;
• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs);
• Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs);
• Other contractual documents related to commercial activities.

3. Commercial Negotiation Management

• Act as the main commercial negotiator, representing the company’s interests with customers, partners, and suppliers.
• Develop negotiation strategies and secure favorable terms regarding:
• Pricing;
• Scope of services;
• Deliverables;
• Timelines;
• Responsibilities;
• Risk allocation.

4. Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, legal, financial, and operational risks related to contracts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with the following teams:
• Sales;
• Finance;
• Legal;
• Project Management;
• Procurement.
• Ensure that contractual terms are feasible, clearly understood by all relevant stakeholders, and properly implemented.

Candidate Profile

1. Education and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or higher qualification.
• A degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Previous experience at Huawei or experience working with Huawei is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Huawei’s internal processes is preferred.
• Previous professional experience within a Chinese company is an added advantage.

2. Language Skills

• Fluency in Chinese and English (reading and speaking) is mandatory.

3. Technical and Professional Skills

• Good understanding of commercial contract law principles and standard contractual clauses.
• Proven experience in managing complex, high-value commercial negotiations.

4. Personal Attributes
